Graphics day 1
Materials
paper
indesign
illustrator
photoshop
Process
On the first day of graphics we learnt about typography. In typography we used different lines such as the ascender line, baseline and the descender line. These lines help make your letters. We then tried to create our own font incorporating the lines.
After that we took out some cameras and tried to find objects around the college that look like letters of the alphabet. We had to try and find as many as we can.
In the afternoon we took one of our photos and then put into indesign and illustrator to turn it into a magazine cover. We also looked at the different ratios a photo can be split into. The different ratios are the rule of thirds, the golden ratio, the diagonal ratio and the spiral ratio.

We changed the brightness and contrast by using the curve bar. a
And then added text to the photo so that the cover had a title.
Technical skills
The skills that we learnt from graphics is how to edit photos in photoshop without decreasing the quality in the image. This skill is really relevant to photography as I am always on photoshop editing photos.
