3D photographer Matjaz tancic

Born in 1982, Slovenian photographer Matjaz tancic is well known for his 3D sterography. he works mainly on documentaries or his independent projects. some of these include : Heroes, Timekeepers, obscured space and 3D. tancics images are a good example of what anaglyphic photography is. and am going to use his work as inspiration to create my own.

this is one of Tancics 3D images he has taken. the photo shows a model up against the great wall of china. one thing i like about this image is the leading line that comes from the meandering wall as it goes off into the background. This makes your eyes follow the wall as it goes off into the distance.

Planning for photographer recreation

To try and recreate this photo i am going to go to London and find a modern architectural building. i will try to find an obscure looking one to make the photo look interesting and eye catching on top of the 3D effect.

Creating a Hyper lapse

Hyper Lapses What is a hyperlapse? A hyper lapse is when you manually move the camera a short distance between each shot until you have enough images to create a short video. After you have taken your photos you can go onto a gif creator which you can find on the internet and sync your photos together. My first attempt at creating a hyperlapse was at college. We took a series of photos of myself and Heather, every time a photo was taken we moved to a different step. We took around 35 photos and this was the result. Erhan Asik

Erhan Asik is a Turkish photographer who I came across whilst looking for ideas to do with water based long exposures. After looking through his work i figured that some of his photographs could be recreated. not by taking the photo in the exact same place. but by using the same concept of filters and the use of a tripod. this is the photo that inspired me to go out and capture my own long exposures. I like the way that the water looks in this photo. It can come across as looking like clouds or mist. the way Asik has created this is by using something called an neutral density filter which allows the cameras shutter to be open for longer without the photo becoming over exposed. Here is my recreation. the shutter speed for this particular photo was set to 10 seconds which allowed the water to blur and create the misty effect that i wanted to achieve. We then got split up into groups to brainstorm ideas for the advert. After all four groups came up with their plan we pitched it to the teacher who then decided who's idea was best. Then the teacher picked the best one and we started to develop the idea and start to produce the advert. We were all given different jobs so that we could successfully make the advert. The rolls were the actors, director, floor manager, camera, lighting, camera change and auto cue. My job was to operate one of the 4 cameras.I was positioned diagonally so that I could get side views of the actors. The whole advert lasted 30 seconds.
